Turkey villas: Plenty to explore while in Antalya
Antalya offers plenty of entertaining attractions to explore, which could make it an ideal place to stay when booking Turkey villas.
Joanna Marsh, a spokeswoman for the Turkish Culture and Tourism Office, has recommended that tourists in the resort make some time to see the area's raft of history.
She explained: "The ancient cities of Perge and Aspendos are well worth a visit - shows still take place today in the original Roman theatre of Aspendos."
One event at this venue that could be well worth a visit is the world-famous Aspendos Opera and Ballet Festival, according to Ms Marsh.
Seen as the "most important organisation of the Directorate General of State Opera and Ballet", the attraction first took place in 1994, gaining international recognition back in 1998.
Other places for those staying in villas in Turkey near to Antalya to seek out include the ancient ruins of Side and the resort of Belek, which is home to some attractive golf courses, Ms Marsh added.
