Turkey villas: Istanbul 'an ideal weekend break location'
Holiday makers who are planning on jetting away to enjoy a few days of relief have been urged to snap up Turkey villas near Istanbul.
Joanna Marsh, a spokeswoman for the Turkish Culture and Tourism Office, believes that the destination is a perfect place to visit for a weekend break.
She explained that one reason for this is many of Istanbul's historical sites being within close distance of each other.
Ms Marsh recommends that at least three days are spent within villas in Turkey near to this city, so most of the attractions can be taken in during a stay.
"It is very easy to get around Istanbul so you can cover a lot in a short space of time," the expert added.
Her travel advice comes soon after ACI EUROPE revealed that passenger traffic at Istanbul's SAW and IST airports had both increased in March 2011 compared to the same month last year, at a rate of 24.4 per cent and 9.3 per cent respectively.
