Turkey villas: 'Hidden treasures' on the Black Sea coast
Brits hoping to indulge in a getaway during 2011 have been told of some Turkey villas which they can book up, in order to view the wonders of the Black Sea.
An expert at Turkish news source Sunday's Zaman has picked out a handful of coastal resorts, which could prove to make a perfect holiday.
For one, those visiting Turkey will sure to be pleased if they seek out Amasra, "a beach resort with the added attraction of the remains of a castle dating back to medieval days, when Genoese trading colonies lined this coast", journalist Pat Yale commented.
People booking holiday villas in this resort of Turkey will also be treated to a range of "good, reasonably-priced fish restaurants" and the chance to purchase myriad wood-made souvenirs from the shops around Amasra.
Meanwhile, the writer has pinpointed Agva as a hidden treasure of Turkey's Black Sea coast, thanks in part to its alluring sandy beach.
Recently, Tolga Tuyluoglu, the director of the Turkish Culture and Tourism Office UK & Ireland, acknowledged that Turkey "has gone from strength to strength" when it comes to Brits visiting the country for their holidays.
