Turkey villa holiday: What to do in Marmaris
Holiday makers who have booked up to visit Turkey villas in Marmaris have been told of some of the resort's highlights.
Jill Guest, spokeswoman for the Turkish Culture & Tourism Office, has pointed out that there is a wealth of interesting pursuits to explore around the destination.
For one, she advises checking out the "secret islands and secluded coves" on offer in Marmaris, via daily boat rides.
Furthermore, heading over to Cleopatra Island is recommended to all Brits staying in holiday villas in Turkey.
A trip here will give people a chance to walk across "fine white sand" that was shipped over from Egypt, if the legend is to be believed.
Ms Guest added: "A Jeep safari is a great way to get out and about to explore traditional villages and off-the-beaten-track sites - either drive yourself or be driven by a guide, as part of a convoy."
Plus, with the latest Post Office Cost Barometer recently showing that there is now a stronger UK pound against the Turkish lira, a trip to the country could also be more affordable than you'd expect.
