Turkey villa guests urged to explore south-west coast
People planning a Turkey villa holiday this year should take the opportunity to explore the country's south-west region, according to an article published in the Daily Mail.
Writer Henry Jones visited Olu Deniz on the shores of the Aegean Sea, a part of Turkey that is also known as the 'turquoise coast'.
He revealed that the destination "retains a sense of calm" and is part of a unique area of the country.
Holiday makers who visit the region during a Turkey villa break were encouraged to take a trip to Dalyan, a historic site where ancient columns and pillars are visible on the hillside above the town.
Another destination worth visiting, according to Mr Jones, is Tlos, an ancient city that - according to Greek legend - was the home of Pegasus, the winged horse.
People who enjoy adventurous activities can try paragliding or a variety of watersports along Turkey's Aegean coast, while those who would prefer to relax can choose from countless beaches.
