Turkey holidays proving popular from Bristol

Turkey holidays are among the most popular options for people embarking on their travels from Bristol airport, it has been revealed.

Managers of the base in south-west England said that Turkey is attracting strong interest as the peak summer travel period gets underway, along with other villa holiday favourites such as Florida and Greece.

Travellers looking forward to a Turkey villa break this year can catch flights to Bodrum, Dalaman and Antalya from Bristol.

More than 1.2 million people are expected to pass through the airport during July and August.

Aviation director Shaun Browne said: "The summer holidays will be very busy, but plans are in place to make the airport experience for passengers as convenient and comfortable as possible.

"However, check-in, security search and boarding can take time - particularly for families and large groups. By arriving at least two hours ahead of their scheduled departure time, passengers can help us keep queues to a minimum."

Holiday makers can rent villas in Ortakent, Konacik and other popular coastal destinations to visit Turkey's scenic beaches and enjoy its luxurious climate.
