Turkey holidays 'one of the best-value options for Brits'
Turkey holidays will be among the most affordable options for Britons in terms of overseas spending this year, according to a travel expert.
The country was identified along with the likes of Egypt and north Africa as one of the locations offering the best value for money, partly owing to the fact that it is outside the eurozone.
Bob Atkinson of travelsupermarket.com revealed that price continues to be one of the main motivating factors for Britons planning Turkey villa breaks and other overseas holidays.
He pointed out that bargain hunting has become more prevalent recently, with an increasing number of discounts and promotions coming onto the market.
"Over the last couple of years, in particular, there's been a wave of offers and deals out there," Mr Atkinson said.
"If there is something that Brits love more than anything else it's the concept that they've got themselves a bargain or a deal. Overall we are very price-led as a nation."
People planning Florida villa holidays this year could also benefit from good value for money, as Mr Atkinson revealed that the US dollar has recently "plummeted" against the pound.
