Turkey holidays 'among the best for culture'

People who enjoy learning about local culture during their breaks will find plenty to interest them on a Turkey holiday, according to a travel expert.

Nadine Hallak of Cheapflights Media said that the country is now known as a summer break hotspot, but its appeal to visitors was initially based on its cultural offerings and experiences.

She revealed that tourists first travelled to the country for its "outstanding cuisine, unique architecture and vibrant culture".

"As short-haul destinations go, Turkey offers some of the best cultural holidays there are," Ms Hallak added.

Another benefit on offer to people taking holidays in Dalyan, and other popular destinations in the country, is value for money.

Ms Hallak said that there is currently a "favourable exchange rate" available to Brits, which means that the price of meals, drinks and other items "won't break the bank".

"Getting value for money in Turkey isn't difficult for the British traveller," she stated.

The Turkish Culture and Tourism Office is currently running a promotional initiative that includes its first ever commercial radio campaign in the UK.
