Turkey holidays: Money worries 'will not stop Brits travelling'
Financial constraints will not stop British consumers taking Turkey holidays and other breaks, according to a recent survey.
Travel guide publisher Lonely Planet carried out a poll which found that only one per cent of Brits would be willing to sacrifice a holiday if they did not have enough money.
More than a third (35 per cent) of respondents said they would be willing to pay for their trip using a credit card, while one in ten (ten per cent) would take out a loan or overdraft, TravelMole reports.
Other popular ways of freeing up money for a getaway include adopting a less costly lifestyle (63 per cent) and raiding savings (61 per cent).
The research also highlighted the experiences that Britons consider the most important during trips abroad, such as Turkey villa holidays, with almost all of the people surveyed saying they prioritise culture and sightseeing.
Enjoying nature and scenery was listed as a top holiday activity by 89 per cent of respondents, followed by sampling local food and drink (83 per cent).
