Turkey drawn against Croatia in Euro 2012 play-off
Football fans may want to snap up villas in Turkey next month to see if the country is successful in securing qualification to the Euro 2012 finals.
The team face a tough tie against Croatia in the play-offs of the prestigious competition, which will be held jointly in Poland and the Ukraine in June 2012.
However, Turkey have already shown that they can put up a fight against stiff competition, by beating Belgium and Austria to the Group A runner-up spot.
The country made their qualification to the play-offs difficult though, with a 0-0 draw against Austria followed by a 3-1 defeat when playing Group A winners Germany meaning the squad required a win over Azerbaijan in order to secure their progress.
A 60th minute strike by Trabzonspor forward Burak Yilmaz was enough to ensure a 1-0 victory for the Turkish faithful.
Victory means that Turkey will play Group F runners-up Croatia in their final qualification tie, with the first leg being hosted on home turf on either November 11th or 12th.
