Tipping advice when visiting Turkey villas
Brits heading abroad on holiday this year, perhaps to villas in Turkey, have been given some advice when it comes to giving tips while on a getaway.
Carrentals.co.uk carried out a survey to find what worries holiday makers when they journey overseas for a break, with concern over how much to tip a waiter coming out on top.
Gareth Robinson, managing director of the UK car hire reservations website, acknowledged that some attendants may depend on tips to supply their income.
However, he also warned that people in other parts of the world may be left insulted if further cash was added to a bill's total.
Therefore, Mr Robinson acknowledged: "When we travel we eat most of our meals in restaurants. But how much should we leave as a tip? And what does service charge really mean?"
When it comes to staying in Turkey villas, it is advised that a tip of between five and ten per cent is left on top of a bill by Brits visiting a restaurant during their getaway.
