Those seeking out Turkey villas advised on stay in Antalya

Holiday makers who have opted to stay in villas in Turkey this summer and wondering where to explore have been encouraged to check out Antalya.

Joanna Marsh, a spokeswoman for the Turkish Culture and Tourism Office, pointed out that the resort is one of the largest cities in Turkey.

"It is also right in the heart of Turkey's Mediterranean coast which means that its beaches are a big draw as well," she added.

Therefore, Ms Marsh noted that those who opt to stay in holiday villas within Antalya will be treated to both a beach getaway and a city break.

A visit to the city's old town of Kaleici is also recommended by the expert, where tourists will be able to venture down old narrow streets and witness a "charming, picturesque harbour" with their own eyes.

Recently, ACI EUROPE data found that in March 2011, passenger travel at Antalya airport was up 20.1 per cent when compared to the same month in 2010.
