Star gazers urged to book villa in Turkey
Turkey is a country in which booking a villa may become significantly more appealing to amateur astronomers once they learn of the recommendations of one travel website.
Cheapflights.co.uk recommends the nation as one that is top-notch for star gazers, offering magnificent views of the sky at night.
It admits holidays in Turkey are usually a more familiar choice for sun seekers, looking for warmth, beautiful seas and beaches on which to relax.
But the online comparison site suggests it is also ideal for those with a passion for galactic vistas.
Starting off in Istanbul and taking an organised tour is one option open to holiday makers, while some may prefer to explore the sky from a villa in Turkey themselves.
Nick Trend, writing for the Daily Telegraph, recently said one of the highlights of the country is its quota of high-class historical sites, such as the Library of Celsius at Ephesus.
