Rent a Turkey villa and enjoy the country's burgeoning popularity
Booking a Turkey holiday is becoming increasingly popular among British travellers, it has been revealed.
According to the Co-operative Travel, the country was one of the most popular destinations among holiday makers last year, during which time it saw a 31 per cent increase in bookings for flights.
Beyond the traditional peak season, Turkey is also proving to be in demand throughout the winter months as well, highlighting the country's enduring popularity among holiday makers.
Interestingly, the research indicated such bookings are more popular among travellers based in the north of the UK than those in the south.
Those who visit a Turkey villa on the Mediterranean coast will have plenty to explore, no matter what time of year they travel.
Among the highlights are the Butterfly valley and the breathtaking lagoon at Olu Deniz, the Fethiye bazaar and the historic sites of Letoon, Xanthos and Patara.
From Fethiye, holiday makers can also take day trips to the Greek island of Rhodes thanks to a regular boat service.
