Rent a Turkey villa and enjoy great value for money
Families looking for a great value holiday destination may wish to consider Turkey, according to one travel journalist.
Writing for the Daily Express, Peter Cunliffe said he found everything in the country very reasonably priced.
He claimed that compared to the euro, the Turkish lira offered "fantastic" value for money, allowing his family to enjoy themselves without worrying about costs.
During his break, he enjoyed all the usual beach holiday activities as well as a few day trips to towns and villages.
He said plenty of cheap gifts and souvenirs can be found at the market in Fethiye, including clothed and accessories.
At the food market, holiday makers can pick up a vast array of fresh fruit and vegetables, from giant cabbages to more exotic produce.
"After the market we sat by the busy marina, watching boatmen touting for business and listening to the lunchtime call to prayer from mosques," Mr Cunliffe recalled.
Those renting Turkey villas in Ovacik will be able to spend a day in Fethiye, as it is just a shot drive away.
Ovacik is also close to Olu Deniz beach, which graces the front of many a Turkey postcard thanks to its powder-white sand and turquoise waters.
