Natural beauty 'is a highlight when staying in villa in Turkey'
A tourist who may have stayed in a villa while holidaying in Turkey has spoken of some of the highlights of the trip.
Eithne Nightingale got in touch with the Daily Telegraph to nominate the country as one of the "delights" of Europe as part of a survey being carried out by the newspaper.
The traveller says it is several of the natural wonders found in the nation that particularly caught the eye during a spell there.
"Highlights included riding in a balloon over Cappadocia; strolling through coppersmith alley in Sanliurfa bazaar, deafened by the sound of hammers ... and watching the sun set over the colossal ... man-made mountain at Nemrut Dagi," the contributor states.
Another tip is to head to the Cappadocia region, where food and hospitality is said to be at its very best.
Tom Hall, editor of Lonely Planet, recently recommended Turkey as a great place to visit in spring.
