Manchester travellers offered new route for Turkey holidays
Turkey villa holidays will be made more accessible for travellers based in north-west England next year when a local airline launches a new route to the country.
Jet2 announced that it would begin operating flights from Manchester airport to Bodrum on Turkey's southern peninsula from May 16th 2011.
The destination, which is a popular gateway among people setting off on Turkey villa holidays, will be the airline's 51st destination.
In addition to its new route to Bodrum, Jet2 confirmed that it would be continuing services from Manchester to a number of popular destinations next summer, including Faro in Portugal and Alicante in Spain.
These destinations serve as the main gateways for travellers on Algarve holidays and breaks on the Costa Blanca.
Jet2 carries more than one million passengers from Manchester every year, with around 200 flights departing from the airport each week.
People planning Turkey villa holidays this year can catch flights to Dalaman from the airport.
Other popular destinations accessible from Manchester include Malaga, Lanzarote and Nice.
