Guardian lists best beaches to visit on a Turkey holiday
People planning to do plenty of relaxing by the sea during a Turkey holiday this year have been offered a guide to the country's best beaches.
Writing for the Guardian, Annabelle Thorpe pointed out that there are many locations in the country that offer an escape from "crowded beaches and heaving resorts".
One destination that comes recommended for travellers planning a Turkey holiday this year is Ovabuku on the Datca peninsula, a scenic bay surrounded by countryside and pine forests.
Holiday makers who will be staying in Kalkan during a Turkey villa holiday can pay a visit to Kaputas, which is highly popular among locals and boasts "fabulous" waves on windy days, Ms Thorpe revealed.
Gemilier is located near the popular Olu Deniz beach but is much less crowded.
Accessible by boat or bus from Hisaronu, the coastal hotspot offers views stretching to St Nicholas Island and provides access to restaurants.
Other beaches recommended by the Guardian writer include Amos on the Bozburun peninsula, Hisaronu Bay and Ortakent near Bodrum.
