Holidays in Turkey have topped the list of the best value breaks over easter in a study by Skyscanner.
Thanks to the exchange rate between the sterling and the lira, which currently sits at 2.6 lira to the pound, holiday makers can explore the country relatively cheaply.
The currency has experienced an 11 per cent increase in value in the past 12 months, the research found.
Gareth Williams, chief executive officer of the flight price comparison site, said: "Turkey has always been a popular destination for our customers, but with the strength of the pound against the Turkish Lira it may well be that we see Turkey emerging as one of this year’s most popular holiday destinations."
Those looking to discover hidden gems while staying in Turkey villas may want to head some of the resorts on the Black Sea coast that were recently recommended by Sunday's Zaman.
Agva was named as a concealed treasure, while historical Amasra earned a mention for its combination of culture and sandy beaches.
