Culture and value make Turkey holidays a winning choice

A combination of fascinating cultural history and great value for money make holidays in Turkey one of the most popular options around.

Nadine Hallak, travel expert at flight comparison site Cheapflights Media, says the country, which lies on Europe's border with Asia, has been a common choice for holiday makers for some time.

With plenty to see and do, much of which comes at a lower cost than in many other traditional destinations, it is perhaps no wonder.

"From stunning historical sites to white sand beach resorts, vibrant markets and lively bars, there is plenty on offer for holiday makers," explains the expert.

With a reliable supply of sun also one of the country's key offerings, tourists may be wise to book a holiday in Turkey as soon as possible in order to soak up the late-summer rays.

According to a recent survey by Conde Nast Traveller, Turkey is the most popular holiday destination, scoring 87.2 out of 100 for value for money.
