Holiday makers in the UK are still hoping to experience a perfect getaway, perhaps to villas in Turkey, even if they have to cut back spending elsewhere.
The results of a new study conducted by Travel In Depth, has suggested this trend for Brits, and how many see a trip overseas as a vital part of their year.
In fact, 62 per cent of respondents have said that they would give up moving to a new home or acquiring a fresh set of wheels just so they can enjoy an annual holiday getaway.
Expenditure for a trip abroad is commonly seen to be in the region of £3,000 to £5,000 by many Brits, though 15 per cent would happily sneak over this limit.
Paul Carberry, founder of Travel In Depth, commented: "Whilst it is clear that value is important, this certainly does not mean that people are compromising on destination or experiences."
To save on some money though, families visiting Turkey villas should be sure to check their baggage allowance, after a recent HolidayExtras.com study found 28 per cent of Brits have little or no idea on the restrictions.
