Check out the Aegean Festival on a Turkey villa holiday

There will be plenty of culture and entertainment on offer to people taking Turkey villa holidays this summer when the Aegean Festival returns to one of the country's most popular coastal hotspots.

The event will take place in Yalikavak marina near Bodrum between August 14th and 21st.

People enjoying holidays in Yalikavak will be treated to an array of Turkish cuisine at the festival, with plenty of kebabs being served, along with meze - selections of appetisers and small dishes - and local wine.

Entertainment will be provided by Greek and Turkish musicians and dancers, while sculpture, painting and photography exhibitions will be on display around the marina, according to whatsonwhen, the worldwide events guide provided by Frommer's.

As well as attending local events, people planning to visit Yalikavak during a Turkey villa holiday can relax on the town's sandy beaches and explore its bustling centre, which is particularly lively on market days.

Bodrum, located nearby, is home to historical attractions including a castle and an archaeological museum.
