Book low-cost flights for Turkey holiday now

People in Scotland planning next year's trip overseas may wish to consider booking a holiday in Turkey after an airline announced plans to fly there.

Budget carrier Jet2.com is to launch a range of flights from its new base at Glasgow Airport, including one from the Scottish city to Dalaman.

Located in the south of Turkey, Dalaman offers easy and quick access to a range of the country's top holiday resorts, each boasting scores of high-quality villas.

Jet2.com says it is aiming for the Glasgow routes to follow its model that has so far been implemented at seven other UK bases and revolves around offering cheap fares to the most popular holiday hotspots.

From just £36.99 each way, tourists can secure their seat for a holiday in Turkey now, although the service does not commence until March 2011.

Nadine Hallak, travel expert at Cheapflights Media, recently recommended Turkey as an ideal destination all year round, suggesting there is plenty to see and do in both summer and winter.
