Book a Turkey holiday for healthy living and relaxation

Those in need of total relaxation and an escape from the stress of everyday life could consider a Turkey holiday.

In an article for the Hurriyet Daily News, one fan of the country has put her recent return to health down to time spent in Turkey.

Gabrielle Buchter was told by doctors that there was little else she could do in her fight against cancer and advised her to "go to the most beautiful place in the world" to simply enjoy herself.

She travelled to the Turkish resort of Bodrum with her husband and soon fell in love with it, buying a Turkey villa in the area later on.

Having time to walk, swim and take in the country's natural beauty allowed her to heal, while the nutritious food she ate in Turkey also gave her a boost.

"The magical atmosphere of Bodrum worked miracles in my life," said the 55-year-old, who has now been given the all clear.

Holiday makers who hope that Turkey can help them de-stress or improve their health could rent their own private villa in Bodrum.

Irfan Onal from the Turkish Culture and Tourism Office aid recently that Turkey is an affordable holiday destination all year round.
