Book a Turkey holiday and enjoy the perfect family break

Those looking for somewhere that will offer the perfect family break should consider a Turkey holiday on the country's Mediterranean coast.

In an article for the Sun newspaper, travel journalist Richard Rushworth said he and his wife and two young children thoroughly enjoyed their own stay.

He said there is plenty for children to do, with miles of sandy beaches for them to play on and blue lagoons to swim in.

The resort of Fethiye also has a wide range of attractions and amenities for those staying nearby, he stated.

Mr Rushworth advised beach lovers to check out Olu Deniz bay, which is described as the poster beach of Turkey.

"The adventurous at heart should head for Sakklikant Gorge, the second largest in Europe, perfect for escaping the midday heat," he added.

Tourists can enjoy a knee-high dip in the cool waters of the Esen River and then chill out with a drink at one of the cafes by the gorge.

There is also plenty to see inland if families hire a car or book a jeep safari tour, perhaps visiting the Amintas Tombs above Fethiye or the deserted village of Kayakoy.

Families renting Turkey villas in Kaya will be in the perfect location to enjoy everything that Mr Rushworth described.

Just a short drive from Fethiye, the resort is surrounded by mountains and farmland, meaning holiday makers can enjoy some fantastic views.
