Winter holiday in Tenerife 'offers weather like an English summer'
One expert has chosen to nominate Tenerife as the perfect holiday destination for people seeking some winter sun over the next few months.
With cold weather and rain due to hit the UK, many individuals could understandably be turning their attention towards where to head for a spot of warmth.
And Nick Trend, writing for the Daily Telegraph, appears to have the answer, as he suggests Tenerife ticks all the boxes.
Its weather is remarkably warm considering its relative proximity to the UK, with the author describing it as "like an English summer".
While Mr Trend notes Lanzarote is a good option for families, Tenerife is better suited to more adventurous couples, individuals and groups looking for nightlife.
The same newspaper recently published an article recommending holidays on the Spanish island, suggesting its combination of great food, scenery and weather make it the ideal place for a great vacation.
