Fans of the famous artist Cesar Manrique may like nothing more than to enjoy a holiday in Lanzarote over the next few months.
That is because, in the opinion of the Toronto Sun, there is nowhere better in the world to catch a glimpse of the creator's work.
"Visitors to the island of Lanzarote would have a hard time avoiding the influence of this prolific artist, as his presence is felt everywhere," the newspaper states.
Perhaps the first item on the itineraries of many culture vultures sunning themselves on the Spanish island is a trip to Manrique's home.
The Kubrickian property is highlighted by the publication as a must-see, noting it is built down into the hardened volcanic lava terrain that epitomises the landmass.
An article on the Heather on her Travels blog recently identified a holiday in Lanzarote as ideal for those with an instinct to explore, with the Green Caves said to be a top spot to discover.
