Britons considering the possibility of renting a villa in Tenerife for a period over the winter in order to enjoy some much-needed sun have been advised flights to the Spanish island are currently particularly affordable.
Flights comparison site Skyscanner has identified the landmass, just off the west coast of Africa, as one of its bargains of the week.
It observes people can land a return journey between the UK and the popular holiday destination for as little as £50.
Indeed, last month it knocked Malaga off top spot when it comes to the site's flight trends research, perhaps emphasising its popularity with tourists.
"This should be no surprise, as the Canary Isles can lay claim to being one of the best destinations for guaranteed winter sun," Skyscanner states.
Peter Hardy, writing a piece for the Daily Mail, recently described Tenerife as home to a stunning landscape that astronaut Neil Armstrong was right to compare to that of the moon.
