Brits heading away on holiday this summer could be basing their destination choice, such as perhaps villas in Tenerife, on their toddlers.
Research by Eurocamp and family website Netmums found that 52 per cent of parents have admitted to checking out the best options for their kids before deciding on a location.
Furthermore, 40 per cent of respondents have said that their holiday enjoyment would be dampened somewhat if their toddler was not completely happy with the resort chosen.
Other results from the study included almost 30 per cent of mums and dads seeing home-from-home comforts as essential items to pack, while 30 per cent of them suggested that travelling with young children was the most stressful part of a getaway.
Commenting on the findings, Chris Hilton, head of brand at Eurocamp, said: "Travelling and holidaying with toddlers … can be tricky and quite stressful, so we're not at all surprised that finding a holiday destination that suits a toddler's every need is top priority for parents when planning a break."
Tenerife villas could be the ideal choice for families though, with a TravelBite.co.uk writer recently noting that the Canary Island offers plenty of "stunning scenery".
