Witness a unique side of Digne-les-Bains during south of France holidays
People heading to villas in the south of France next August have the chance to experience a unique event if they visit Provence during their getaway.
The Corso de la Lavande - or the Lavender Festival - will be returning to the picturesque resort of Digne-les-Bains, a half century after its introduction.
Known for its colourful displays and fun-filled atmosphere, the festival comes to the Provence region between August 3rd and 7th 2012.
Families who visit Digne-les-Bains during their summer holidays in the south of France can watch as the town becomes a hub for entertainment through a host of colourful parades.
The fun does not end once the sun goes down though, with a grand ball being held in the evening to celebrate the abundant lavender crop.
A stay in Digne-les-Bains also gives people the opportunity to explore the Geological Reserve of Provence, as well as glimpse the amazing sights of the Napoleon road.
