Why not head for Bordeaux when staying in south of France villas?

Brits who are hoping to locate an attractive spot to book south of France villas have been encouraged to stay in Bordeaux.

That is because in the latter part of the summer and early autumn the French region will be hosting a range of events which all the family can enjoy.

For example, between the dates of August 19th and 21st, the location of la Closiere is to hold the Riding Cars in Cadillac event.

Those who head along to the attraction after snapping up villas in the south of France will be able to sample an array of treats at various tasting workshops, as well as drive through the resort's vineyards while behind the wheel of some vintage American cars.

Meanwhile, those heading to France in September should check out the Medoc Marathon, which comes to the Bordeaux region on the tenth day of the month.

Now in its 26th year, the event sees around 10,000 people run from Medoc to Pauillac while in fancy dress, while passing many vineyards and dazzling sights.

Plenty of eyes are sure to be on the attraction, with sweet maker Haribo, sports brand Asics, mobile phone giant Orange and car manufacturer Volvo among its partners.
