Where to book villas in the south of France for Bastille Day

There are plenty of places to visit while staying in south of France villas during the country's national holiday of Bastille Day.

Celebrated throughout the nation on July 14th, an array of dazzling sights will be on show in various regions in the south of the nation.

For example, Brits who head along to Marseille will be treated to a folk parade and elegant ball on July 13th, before firework displays and street parties throughout the next day.

Meanwhile, a trip to the Promenade de Bains in the city of Saint-Raphael can feature another stunning firework show, with a free party also being held in the resort's Place Coulet.

Aix-En-Provence celebrate Bastille Day, which marked one of the early dates in the French Revolution, with street parades and yet another firework display, while a live orchestra is a highlight if people choose to head to villas in the south of France region of Avignon.

Bastille Day looks back on the historic Storming of the Bastille, which saw 800 people begin to destroy the symbolic prison in 1789.
