Visit Nice while on a south of France holiday
Britons staying in Cote d'Azur villas on a south of France holiday might want to make Nice a potential destination for a day trip.
According to the Belfast Telegraph, the metropolis is attracting growing numbers of tourists drawn by its historic architecture, fantastic shopping and museums.
Some of the main sights to take in while in Nice include the Matisse Museum, the Marc Chagall Museum and the spectacular Russian Cathedral of St Nicholas.
The old city is packed with narrow lanes lined with interesting shops, while the street of Cours Saleya hosts various markets throughout the week.
"Just down from Cours Saleya is Promenade des Anglais, Nice's most famous street," the Belfast Telegraph says, adding: "Here you will find people wandering up and down enjoying the scenery."
Excursions to Nice can be easily made from holiday villas in Cote d'Azur, particularly those in Cannes, Valbonne and Grasse, among other locations.
