Tourists offered new BA route to south of France villas
British Airways (BA) is extending its services this winter, potentially making it easier for holiday makers to reach their villa in the south of France.
The national carrier is opening up a new route between London City Airport and Cambery, which is often seen as the gateway to the Alps.
Such a link could be ideal for those who would like to spend the colder months either skiing and snowboarding or relaxing on the glamorous Mediterranean coast.
"Our schedule is ideally set up to give our customers the opportunity to spend a long weekend, a full week, or even longer, skiing on some of the world's best slopes and resorts," explains BA CityFlyer' commercial manager Luke Hayhoe.
Flights will run four times a week – departing London on Mondays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays - from December 18th.
One event people may wish to coincide their stay in a south of France villa with this winter is the Polo Masters, due to take place in Val d'Isere in mid-January.
