Take skiing excursion during holiday in south of France
The popularity of skiing appears to be rising – and it may be a pastime that people taking holidays in the south of France this winter wish to enjoy.
Ian Davis, product director at Crystal Ski, says there appear to be more people interested in and booking breaks on the slopes of some European countries.
From a villa in the south of France, the Alps and their popular skiing spots are easily accessible and could be tackled as part of a day trip or short excursion.
Mr Davis adds France is a nation currently enjoying "double-digit growth" in terms of ski tourists.
However, travellers should remember there is far more to a break in the region than skiing, with some of the most glamorous coastline in the world available in the country.
Kathryn Tomasetti, writing for the Independent, recently said the south of France is synonymous with prestige and high fliers.
