Grab yourself a late deal >Take in Mougins while in south of France villas
Families who are considering a stay in villas in the south of France for their next getaway have been encouraged to base their visit around Provence.
The region is home to the village of Mougins, which is located just 15 minutes away from the popular French city of Cannes.
Nina Nagel, spokeswoman at the Mougins Tourism Office, pointed out that the resort is also based around the picturesque French Riviera.
For those seeking exercise while based in south of France villas, Ms Nagel commented: "In Mougins we have a very big protected wood. You can walk and cycle [there]. Out in the country about ten minutes away from here you can do canyoning, climbing and [watersports]."
Mougins has also welcomed an array of well-known names over the years, ranging from Picasso to Winston Churchill, Christian Dior and Catherine Deneuve.
Plus, with 18 art studios, galleries or exhibitions housed around the village, holiday makers will have plenty to do during their getaway.
