Stay in south of France villa for chance to visit "fascinating" perfumeries

There are many advantages and aspects of enjoyment when staying in a villa in the south of France, but some may not consider a chance to visit the region's fine perfumeries as one.

However, it most certainly is a highlight of any trip to the area, especially that of Helen Meredith, who wrote to the Daily Telegraph to tell readers of her experience.

She explained she only recently took a tour of a number of aroma producers' headquarters while in Provence, despite being intrigued by the industry for some years.

Ms Meredith labelled the experience "fascinating", picking out the perfume museum at one of Grasse's top perfumeries.

"Inspired and smelling delicious, I went on to the Fragonard Fabrique des Fleurs, a modern factory set in pretty gardens on the outskirts of Grasse, where you can watch perfumes being made," she continued.

People thinking of visiting the south of France for a holiday may wish to log on to Eurostar Plus, an online portal with hints, tips and information for tourists.
