Holiday makers who are still pondering where to fly off to this summer have been encouraged to stay in south of France villas.
Natalie Goulet, spokeswoman for ATOUT FRANCE - France Tourism Development Agency, believes that the country of France is "good value for money" for Brits as a whole.
Plus, its close proximity to the UK means that people can experience a city break or short getaway without much of a fuss, the expert acknowledged.
When it comes to deciding where to book up south of France villas at, Ms Goulet advised: "Languedoc-Roussillon is a region that is … popular with families – a Mediterranean region that is a bit less well known than Provence and Riviera."
Her comments come soon after a study conducted by The Co-operative Travel suggested that traditional holiday destinations are proving popular for Brits once more.
In fact, France has experienced a 31 per cent rise in bookings throughout 2011 by those in the UK hoping to jet overseas.
