Brits who are hoping to visit south of France villas for a holiday on the beach have been encouraged to seek out Nice.
According to a Travelbite.co.uk writer, the city is one of the highlights of Europe when it comes to an eye-catching coastline.
They explained: "Here you will find many private beaches where you can rent sun loungers for the day to make the most of the sunshine."
Plus, with a "thriving metropolis" built around the sands of the south of France location, holiday makers are sure to find a load of entertaining activities within a short distance of travel.
There is plenty to seek out while in villas around Nice too, with the National Theatre of Nice a key location for live music and stage shows.
Meanwhile, fans of museum trips have plenty of options available, including the Musee des Beaux Arts featuring work from names such as Monet and Sisley, as well as the world's largest collection of paintings, sculptures and drawings on show at the Chagall Museum.
