South of France villa may be best accessed with ski-friendly airlines
A trio of airlines have been named as the most ski-friendly in the industry, which could be an important factor for those planning to head to a villa in the south of France in order to hit the slopes.
Cheapflights.co.uk's travel expert Nadine Hallak notes most carriers will charge extra for boarding a flight with ski equipment.
However, the best in the business are said to be Swiss Air, Austrian Airlines and Germanwings – all of which do not require additional payment for loading skis or snowboards on to their jets.
"Given that these three airlines are carriers for some of the world’s biggest ski destinations, it's no surprise that they're highly accommodating when it comes to ski equipment," admits Ms Hallak.
Those heading to the south of France may be wise to book with one of the firms when it comes to planning a winter holiday.
The Daily Telegraph recently named Val Thorens as one of its top five ski destinations in the world.
