South of France holiday makers urged 'take in Beziers'
Those looking to take to the water when opting for south of France holiday villas may want to check out the cultural city of Beziers.
Located via the Midi Canal of the country, the destination is a former Roman colony in Languedoc Roussillon and comes packed "full of rustic charm and picturesque sights, including the grand cathedral and nearby mountains", according to an expert at TravelBite.co.uk.
The canal itself offers plenty to indulge in too, stretching 150 miles from the city of Toulouse to the Mediterranean port of Sete, taking in a large chunk of France.
While travelling across this, holidaymakers will be able to view a wealth of ever-changing landscapes, towns decorated with castle turrets and eye-catching farmland plains.
Recently, bmibaby announced that it is to run additional services between Birmingham Airport and Nice in the coming weeks, which could be ideal for those planning south of France villa holidays.
