Rent a south of France villa for a fantastic holiday

Holiday makers booking into a south of France villa in Provence will find the region to be colourful and vibrant, it has been suggested.

According to the Telegraph, the exquisite location in France is known for the scent of rosemary, lemons and lavender, as well as its idyllic rural backdrops.

As if the natural beauty of Provence is not enough to attract holiday makers, it also boasts a busy summer schedule of excellent festivals, including jazz at Antibes and Nice, theatre in Avignon and choral singing in Vaison-la-Romaine.

Provence also boasts a fine selection of walking and cycling routes, making it the ideal location for keen outdoors people, particularly in the summer thanks to its temperate climate.

When it comes to food and drink, chestnuts are one of the region's top specialities, along with garlic, tomatoes and herbs.

The harvest is an important time of year for Provence and anyone visiting during October will be able to enjoy a number of festivals and feasts.

Holiday makers can rent a villa at one of a number of resorts in Provence, and will find plenty to in the cities of Marseilles, Nice and Avignon.
