Rent a south of France villa and watch the Heineken Cup's finest

Those renting South of France holiday villas in the Basque region can watch Biarritz Olympique performing in the Heineken Cup.

The French rugby team are currently top of the second group in Europe's top club rugby competition, ahead of the Newport-Gwent Dragons, Glasgow Warriors and Gloucester.

So far, they have won four matches in four, enough for them already to have amassed an impressive lead.

After losing to Biarritz recently, Newport coach Paul Turner praised their style of play and scrum-half Dimitri Yachvili.

"They played a very tight game, they got their fringe game going and disappointingly we got sucked into playing the same way. Then Dimitri Yachvili did the rest," he said.

Any rugby fans booking a South of France villa holiday can watch Biarritz Olympique play at their home ground the Parc des Sports Aguilera, which is capable of seating up to 13,500 people.

The furthest the team has ever gone in the Heineken Cup was in 2005-06, when they reached the final but narrowly lost to Munster 23-19 at the Millennium Stadium in Wales.
