Rent a Cote d'Azur villa and enjoy beautiful beaches

Beach lovers heading off on Cote d'Azur villa holidays will not be disappointed, as there are a number of top spots for sunbathing.

One notable place is the beach at Cannes, which is lively all year round, particularly in May when the annual film festival takes place.

According to travelbite.co.uk, tourists can wander along the sandy stretch and soak up the sunshine, or take part in a number of watersports.

It points out that some beach areas in Cannes are private and can only by accessed by guests of certain hotels.

"But if you are staying in a South of France villa, there are plenty of other sandy stretches that are open to all, such as the Plages de la Bocca," it states.

Families can rent their own private villas in Cannes, allowing them to experience the glitz and glamour of the resort first hand.

In addition to the beach, there's also the port with its luxury yachts and fishing boats, shopping streets filled with designer boutiques and beautiful gardens along the La Croisette seafront area.

The popular celebrity hangout of St Tropez can be reached by car on a day trip, or holiday makers could head to Nice to explore.
