Rent Languedoc villas to see some sand sculptures

Holiday makers staying in Languedoc villas in May might be interested in paying a visit to the seaside resort of Cap d'Agde to see some impressive creations.

The 2010 Sand Sculpture Festival will take place on Plage de Rochelongue from May 22nd to 24th.

Local people and artists take part in the event, creating a number of impressive sculptures that appear to have been crafted from a material much harder than sand.

Participants are only allowed to work with sand, seawater and objects that have been washed up by the sea.

People taking south of France villa holidays will be able to visit Plage de Rochelongue to see the artistic creations and experience some of the other events that are arranged for the festival, including parties and prize-giving ceremonies.

Cap d'Agde is a resort located in the town of Agde in Herault, part of the Languedoc-Roussillon region of southern France.

The area is home to several popular Mediterranean beaches, as well as the Canal du Midi waterway, where visitors can take a boat trip or walk along the tow paths.
