Reasons to visit south of France villas in Marseille

Families can be a part of three fun-filled festivals if they book up villas in the south of France near to Marseille in the coming months.

Next month will kick off proceedings in this part of the country with the Festival of the Virgin in the Panier District.

Taking place around the Marseille old region of Le Panier, the event is presented as a pilgrimage day in honour of Sainte Marie.

This figure is carried through the district via crowds from the area's neo-Byzantine Cathedrale Major building.

Meanwhile, people who book up south of France villas in Marseille in September will be treated to the festival of the Wind.

During this attraction, a raft of colourful kites creates a dazzling sight across the skyline of the city's Prado Beach.

In the same month, the area's Dock des Suds will be host to Marsatac, a three-day music festival that will feature sounds ranging from jazz to rap and indie to electronica.
