Plenty of events to enjoy around south of France villas

Holiday makers looking to stay in south of France villas this summer have been told of some exciting attractions that they could visit during their getaway.

No matter which month they travel, Brits who know a thing or two about skating may want to check out the French town of Toulon.

That is because on the first Friday of each month, 1,200 inline skaters race through the streets in the Friday Night Skate event, taking in a 17km circuit.

Meanwhile, those visiting villas in the south of France at the beginning of June may also want to head to Avignon's Palais des Papes.

The venue will be hosting the Altera Rosa – Festival of the Rose exhibition between the dates of June 2nd and 5th, with the theme centring on the bloom of these romantic flowers.

Meanwhile, holiday makers heading to Marseille during the same month will be treated to Festival du Soleil.

Translating to the Festival of the Sun, tourists will be treated to a street party filled with contemporary and traditional music from artist from across the globe.
