Plenty of attraction around south of France villas

There is plenty of appeal when staying in south of France villas, so much so that Brits may even consider a permanent home in the location following their visit.

Charles Smallwood, owner of Agence L'Union, pointed out that there will be some tourists who choose to seek out holidays in the north of the country as it is easy to reach.

However, he noted: "Nowadays, there has been a big trend to move further south for the nature of the weather, the climate and the countryside being very different."

With regards to picking out property following a visit to villas in the south of France, Mr Smallwood advised those on a budget to go for more rural locations, though Nice and Cannes are popular attractions for those with a bit more cash to splash.

Brits who are just hoping to go for a short getaway to the south of France have been advised by Travelbite.co.uk writer on the appeal of Nice.

They explained that the resort is home to some eye-catching private beaches, in which holiday makers can top up on their tan, as well as a "thriving metropolis" being present too.
