Photo exhibition to interest football fans on Provence villa holidays

Football fans will have the opportunity to visit an exhibition celebrating the famous French side Olympique de Marseille during Provence villa breaks this year.

The Palais des Arts at Place Carli in Marseille arranged the display to celebrate the club's 110th anniversary.

Visitors will be able to see a selection of 110 photographs representing some of the key moments in the team's history.

Famous players associated with the club feature in the exhibition, as well as trophies, newspaper clippings and other historically significant items.

In addition to the photographs, the showcase features work contributed by a number of artists based in Marseille, including Frederic Claverie, Luc Dubost, Bruno Guitard and George Guye.

People who would like to see the exhibition during a south of France villa holiday should head to the Palais des Arts in the centre of the city before May 9th.

Holiday makers might also have the opportunity to see the team in action.

Marseille will play home matches against Lens (April 4th), Saint-Etienne (April 24th), Rennes (May 5th) and Grenoble (May 15th) before the end of the current Ligue 1 season.
