Michael Winner: Enjoy life by taking holiday in south of France
Michael Winner has told Britons that life is too short to miss out on treats such as a holiday in the south of France.
Writing an article for the Daily Mail, television personality Winner said too much effort is concentrated on saving money and leaving cash behind for children after death.
He advised splashing out now in order to enjoy every last day, starting with a trip to the Mediterranean coast.
"Go off to the South of France to sit in luxury in the sun. I do that every year," he explained, adding the more luxury included at the accommodation the better.
Winner noted he will often spend upwards of £84 on a portion of lobster or £54 on a club sandwich at his favourite hotel restaurants in the region.
The Daily Telegraph recently named the south of France as one of the top places for older people to spend time after retiring.
